Find a table. Bring a character.
Keep the story.

This is a place you can return to, even when your schedule changes. Choose a listing, bring an approved character, and play. The next game may have a different DM and party, but your history, rewards, and consequences carry forward.

Four steps between you and the table.

  1. Join the Discord

Meet the community, see open games, and get pointed toward the right starting channels.

  2. Create a Character

Start at Level 1 using the community's approved 2024 character options and registration tools.

  3. Choose a Game

Pick a voice session or play-by-post listing that fits your time, level, and preferred kind of story.

  4. Carry It Forward

XP, gold, downtime, loot, relationships, and consequences follow your character into future games.

Shared standards.
Independent DMs.

The community keeps progression fair and the world coherent. The DM running the game keeps the authority to run the story.

The shared framework

Character creation, progression, rewards, loot, logs, and continuity use clear community standards.

The DM's table

The DM owns the premise, tone, pacing, rulings, encounters, and stories at the table they are running.

The game is the point.

Respect the people at the table. Respect the premise. Respect the DM's call.

Not every story needs to fit every player. Listings tell you what you are joining; choose the table that fits you and give other tables room to play theirs.

Different DMs. Different stories.
One record of what happened.

Join for a single evening or become part of a longer arc. The structure is flexible; the character history is not disposable.

01

Live Voice Games

One-shots, continuing arcs, and longer adventures run through Discord, usually with a virtual tabletop.

02

Play-by-Post

Scene-based text games let stories move at a different pace without becoming separate from the shared world.

03

Persistent Characters

Your character can move between DMs and parties while keeping progression, possessions, and story consequences.

04

Depth When You Want It

Crafting, Bastions, monster hunting, downtime, and a searchable member library are available without becoming homework.

Bring your story.
Keep your voice.

Run a one-shot, build an arc, test an idea, or give a corner of the Forgotten Realms your own signature. Shared tools handle listings, rewards, and logs so you can spend more time on the actual game.

The framework protects continuity. It does not write your adventure for you.

Structure where it matters. Freedom where it makes the game better.

Before you pull up a chair.

What rules and setting do you use?

The community uses the 2024 D&D rules in a shared version of the Forgotten Realms. Individual listings explain any table-specific details.

Do I need a fixed weekly schedule?

No. Join games when you are available. Voice sessions and play-by-post both contribute to the same persistent character history.

Can a new D&D player join?

Yes. Characters start at Level 1, and the community guide, registration tools, and member library make the first steps easier to follow.

What do I need to play?

Discord and a character sheet are the essentials. Voice listings will name the virtual tabletop and anything else the DM expects.

Does it cost anything?

No. The Storyteller's Lounge is free to join and free to play.

Pull up a chair.

Meet the people, read the listings, and choose the story you want to enter.
